Can't load forum.jquery.com

Hi,

I'm lucky my wife has her computer as my computer suddenly will not load the jquery forum.

When looking at the status bar the message goes from "waiting for forum jquery.com" to "waiting for discuss zoho.com" over and over and over. Every once in a while the screen will flash the opening page of jquery forum.

While this is going on the loading message at the very top left of the screen alternates between "connecting" and "jquery forum".

I suspect this might be some sort of firefox setting going batty. Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

RP, Your computer probably has viruses or other problem.

If firefox fails and chrome works, it’s a setting.

if all browsers fail, it’s your system.

Since your wife’s computer does not fail, it’s not your network.

I suggest you burn your computer in your back yard, as it is probably possessed by the devil. (or take it to a repair shop)

Thanks Jake,

I like my Dell Latitude E6510 too much to kill it now. Although I sometimes feel like it!

I use Ubuntu 13.04, and no windoze on machine. Firefox browser seems to work fine in other respects. Do you think that purging Firefox and re-installing would fix this??

First thing I would do is install/check another browser. You have to determine if it’s the OS or just firefox.

It's been unusable on Firefox for a few days now. And as of today, now it's unusable with Safari. I played Browser Roulette and found that Chrome still works, and that's how I'm here now.

Same symptoms as above.

I wish we weren't dependent on Zoho. It's been getting worse and worse.

Got these errors in Safari:

[Error] Blocked a frame with origin "https://accounts.zoho.com" from accessing a frame with origin "https://forum.jquery.com". The frame being accessed set "document.domain" to "jquery.com", but the frame requesting access did not. Both must set "document.domain" to the same value to allow access.

I’ve noticed the errors in Safari today. But the page still loads.

I've replied to this message with Firefox, and dozens of others with Safari

I don't think it really is browser specific, because today it is unusable with Chrome as well. I think it just took sime time for the bug to propagate to all of the servers. There's clearly a problem as indicated in the JS console. I'm now reduced to using an iPad, so my participation here will now be minimal.

Well, I've played Browser Roulette again and installed Opera. It's working for now. Let's see how long this lasts...

Kanna - the error message given in the Javascript console looks pretty clear to me: document.domain needs to be set to the same value for both the Zoho (login) Frame and the jQuery (discussion area) frame. It isn't.

Maybe some timing issue in some Javascript?

When it malfunctions, there's no content in the login frame, and the page just keeps reloading.

(Got caught by the spam filter again. I guess it's the "R" word.)

I could login with opera but with chrome or safari that's impossible, there is a bug in your forum

I just loaded Jquery on my wife's computer. Inspiron 1525 running Ubuntu 10.04, no Windows.

I've read all current replys to my original query and am glad I don't have to burn my latitude E6510.

I wonder why this computer will load but the other computer w/Ubuntu 13.04 will not. What you guys are discussing is way over my head but thought the fact that firefox loads somewhere might help.

I can, however, access your replys on my computer but the zoho email message will not let me email a reply saying that my cookies are not enabled. I checked and they are enabled.
