Checbox help

Hello,

I have this code here. http://jsfiddle.net/max33/8wr7rjLj/

I have 3 issues which I can't solve.

1) When a checkbox is unchecked, the all highlights should be clear.

2) I can't select and highlight more than one parameter.

3) I'd like to have select all and unselect all too.

Can someone help me or guide me. I am a newbie on jquery. thanks.

You don’t need those IDs. But you do need some classes to differentiate the "selectors" form the all/none buttons.

http://jsfiddle.net/jakecigar/8wr7rjLj/1/ gets a list of the selectors, and then applies it to tds.

this is really great. But i noticed when I undo a checkbox, the values are still highlighted. how can I fix this?

Do you mean the select/unselect all checkboxes?

Probably I made a mistake somewhere at first, but now I see it s working perfectly. Thanks a lot. I still a lot to learn apparently.

Spend 4 years at university, then work in the field for 30 years! There’s always more to learn.

Do you understand how it all became simpler when I get the list of checked values?

There is no one place where you can learn everything, but the jQuery Learning Center is a good start.

Hi Jake, Would it be possible to make the user select the color of highlight before clicking a parameter ? (http://jsfiddle.net/8wr7rjLj/2/) I mean can a user highlight the parameters with different colors at the same time ? I can give different class names and different highlight colors but I don't want this. A user should be able to select and assign a color (from the given list of colors) to a parameter. One time it can be blue, the other time red (assuming we provided blue,red, green colors etc).

That would all be done with CSS.
