Code removal

Hello,

I have just has a SSL installed on my site and I have done a test to find links that are not in the https format. Somehow, the code http://code.jquery.com/ui/1.11.2/jquery-ui.js is on my homepage and I honestly do not have a clue as to how it was placed there. To my knowledge, I have not installed a product on the site that uses your service.

I wish to have it removed from my footer as it is causing a conflict with my SSL. I do not know if it was part of my WP theme but I will be checking with them next.

How can the needful be done?

One of the rules of using SSL is that you can no longer use http:// resources. Use https://code.jquery.com/ui/1.11.2/jquery-ui.js instead. Note the https://

Hello Jake,

Thank you for your quick response. I am aware that the http:// needs to be addressed and my first though is "why is this url in the footer to begin with?" The reason I want to take care of this is because of the rule that SSL does not allow http://resources, as you stated.

I am not sure if this was put there by the them creator or how it was put there and if it is not needed in my theme then I would like to just remove it.

Can you tell me why this url is even there? If it is serving a purpose, I do not know which file it is located in to that the url can be updated.

I checked my footer.php but the url is not there.

Do you have any suggestions?

Not a clue! I haven’t seen your site. I would guess that some script you are using relies on jQuery. Some scripts dynamically add jQuery. So you’ll have to check all your scripts.
