Colorbox window

I'm a newby in using Jquery and its plugin, and an important thing that I'm unable to do at this time is to read objects on the colorbox window. I mean, I have my web page calling a popup page where for example the user writes his name. Then this popup page is closed. From my calling page, how can I read what he has written.

Can anybody help me on this.
