I need to parse dates like '070126' to '26 Jan 2007'. You can do that with the datepicker, but it gives me the an error...

It looks like this was corrected somewhere between jQuery UI 1.8.6 and 1.8.9. Make sure you are using the latest version of jQuery UI.

$.datepicker.parseDate('ymmdd', '070126') works just fine for me in 1.12.1. Can you share a demo page where it does not work for you?

That is not a demo page. It is a picture. A demo page is a link to a small page that demonstrates the problem.
