Datepicker theme does not work
in Using jQuery UI

My inquiry is less of a problem and more of a 'I dont know what I'm doing' sort of thing
Ok so i installed datepicker in a form i was using and it works just fine the only issue is that when i attempted to use a UI theme nothing happened.
the way i attempted to use it is as follows;
1. downloaded the theme smoothness with '#datepicker' scope
2. copied all images in the css images folder to my main images folder
3. copied the css file to my main html file
4. linked the custom.js file to my page
apart from that i dont know what is wrong
