I've just been asked to design and develop a website that would include text (articles) and some photos. Sometimes these two elements will be coupled but more or less it's Text and then Images. Also a third small section with "Misc". 

Even though it shouldn't look or work as a blog exactly, we need it to have the capability of "tagging" posts, archiving them and indexing. So, a user should be able to browse and search the site. 

Still in the process of generating ideas so, the first one that comes to mind is having a main page with all the recent posts sitting in small draggable and sizeable boxes (like post its - using the jquery draggable/resize). 

These "recent" posts will be updated whenever there is new content. The owner of the site should be able to do this on his own. So, the simpler, the better. 

Now, regarding archiving, tagging and indexing....what would you suggest? Information architecture is my weak point.....
