Drag only the horizontal scrollbar amount

in Using jQuery UI • 4 years ago

I am trying to use jQuery Ui to drag an overflowing child div, this div does drag but further than I like. I only want it to drag the scroll-able amount. I have looked at scroll and containment but no luck.

It gets dragged from right to left and back. I don’t see it go further than I like. How far do you want it to go?

PS I am using macOS Safari. Do you think the particular browser makes a difference?

Lol thanks for using my profile picture, I did add a striped gradient maybe you can't see it in your browser.

So I sort of css hacked the problem by adding minus pixels as you can see, this isn't a good solution as its not responsive. I thought the plugin would cover this action but I used https://github.com/asvd/dragscroll/blob/master/dragscroll.js instead.
