DynaTree parent node doesn't get selected

I am using Dyna Tree plugin and my I have the following case.
I have 1 parent node and 4 child nodes. and select mode set as 3.
when i open the page in edit mode it loads tree with all the 4 child selected (with select:true in json).
but my problem is that even all 4 children nodes are selected, it does not select parent node automatically.
any idea ?
