I have embedded an accordion on the page below:

How do I open a section upon visiting the link other than the default first section.

For example, say I want the second section to open upon loading?

Is it possible to include a parameter in the URL or reference the element id?

I'm looking for the easiest possible way to do this with minimal coding

Yes, you could pass in an extra parameter in the URL and use that. Something like this:

$(function() {
var active = parseInt(window.location.hash.replace(/#/, '') || '0', 10);
$('#accordion').accordion({autoHeight: false, navigation: true, collapsible: true, active: active});
});

Then you would activate the third entry with:

I finally got around to trying to implement this but it does not seem to be working . . .

Where do I implement the script? In the head?
