Fade Out and Fade In

Good Afternoon.
I would like a little help here, i'm trying to do a process with 5 steps and i would like to do a fade out and fade in on every process.
for example:
step 1: a zip code must be selected after you click ok, this form fadesout and must fade in the second div with the next information (this form refresh the information requested by the end user on a iframe below) ...
Can anyone please give me some clue of how to do this?
