Force jQuery to work when website is minimized using mobile

Can I asked for idea to make jquery work when a website is minimized and
locked using mobile?
I'm working on a website dealing with countdown timer. The time
can be extended depends on the trigger I created. The problem is that
the timer is not synch if the website is minimized or locked using a
mobile and the time was extended.

You can’t.
Maybe you need to write a native app.

So
there's no really way to make it happen? Because refreshing the
page is bad for the website.

When a mobile browser is minimized, the page no longer runs until you
bring it to the front.
If it was running from an icon on iOS, it is actually killed. On
some of my sites, I constantly store the "status" in
localStorage So when I come back I can quickly reload the page the
way they left it.

I also use an HTML5 manifest to prevent the browser from reloading any
HTML,CSS, or scripts. It really helps resurrecting a page after it was killed!

Ok, thank you for the info, but the website really needs to update real time because it's a bidding business and the time is important. Everyting is fine except for minimizing the website.

A manifest doesn’t have to specify the entire site. Just the parts that
you want the machine to cache. The ajax’ed content is still ajax’ed.
if you need more than that you should consider a native app or just
wrapping the site in a Cordova app.

You might try the Notifications API. Some browsers support it.
I find the requests to allow notifications from an increasing
number of websites pretty annoying.
But it's tailor-made for sites like yours! (Others are
misusing it, IMO.)
Pretty sure this is only implemented on desktop so far. Yea,
that's counter-intuituve. But Apple and Google want you to write
an app for mobile devices...

what way?
You
should use a cookie. When the user comes back, you can restore the
timer. I'm assuming you will store the start time on your server.
It's
unclear if you also want to notify the user in real-time. Just
taking guesses here, since you've made such a vague request.

The timer has rules and depends on the remaining countdown time. The
website is an auction and the time is extending 5 minutes if someone is
bidding. The website is using real time frame work which is updating the
time real time.
It’s native or nothing.
