Form checkbox checked value not activating

in Using jQuery • 9 years ago

I am using a form whereby the value from the selected checkbox is added to a link to define a search across a site.

But it is not working.

When i manually add "checked" attribute, I am able to get the input value via alert but value returns as undefined when i try to run the form.

What select? There is no select! http://jsfiddle.net/jakecigar/CJFS7/4/ looks for

$('[name="displayType"]').change(displayVals);

Thanks Jake.

In case I have other form elements of the type <input>,

Can I just pass

$('input').change(displayVals);

or is this wrong?

You can do anything you want.

Why aren’t you just using a <form> with no script at all?

Watch out for using inout, because your submit is an <input> as well!

Something like http://jsfiddle.net/jakecigar/CJFS7/5/ . With the right names and values on the inputs you can have the browser do all the work.
