Get DOM element form ajax response
in
Using jQuery
•
12 years ago
Hello,
I have ajax request with a success function. The data I'm getting back are an entire <html> ..</html> page. Is there a way to retrieve from those data only a given DOM element by its id ?
$.ajax({
type: "POST",
url: requestURL,
data: formData,
beforeSend: function(){ },
dataType: "html",
success: function(data){
// I need to get $(#myID) from data here
}
});
Thanks for your help,
Tex

This should do it :
success: function(data){
$(data).find(#myID)
}

Once the data is loaded, why does the on('click', function(){}) not accessing the new content?
