Grid data-theme
in jQuery Mobile

Im having problems in using the data-them system for styling grids like applied in the grids in the demo page http://jquerymobile.com/demos/1.0a2/#docs/content/content-grids.html.
Can anyone point in the direction of where i can find some info on using the theming system with grids? i can use the data-theme system for other tags but nothing happens what i ever i try with grids.
