Help please, removing selected tabs on jQuery UI tabs

hi all i am new to all this so please forgive my uselessness, i am planing on using the ui jquery tabs with the collapsible characteristic on , however i was just wondering whether there is a way to have no tab selected when first visiting the page, i.e the tabs is collapsed to start of with and you just see the bar with the tabs.
