Hover-Fade in / Jumping UL/LI

Hey community.
I have a problem with a hover-effect.
The navigation is build with "ul" "li" "a" and a "span"-Element.
The Span should be hidden until hover. Then it should appear.
It works, but there is a little "bounce"-effect.
Can anybody fix that?
