How can I correctly add the lib with jqueryUI

Good day,

I spend a lot time to make my jquery mobile web site, and I particularely spent time to understand with the jquery UI, change my layout.

I need to add a datepicker, this is the reason why I added (only because the datapicker layout)

But since I uncomment the jquetyui CSS file, the content of my web site change.

Then I wonder how can I use it.

Is there a way to work without it?

Now I wonder, if I corretely add the library. I am worried because here

Latest stable version it said to add jquery.1.11

and I am very confused with this because I can read here Jquery last version , the last version is 3.3.1.

So what's the difference between

jquery-1.11.1.min.js and jquery-3.3.1 ??

Do I prepare my file correctly as well? Could you confirm me?

Do I impement correctly jquerymobile?
What's the difference btw query-1.11.1.min.js and jquery-3.3.1 ??
How can I use jqueryMobile and Jquery UI css file together?

The documentation is correct. jQuery Mobile DOES NOT WORK with jQuery 3.3.1. If you must use jQuery Mobile, use it with a compatible version of jQuery.

You can use jQuery 1.11 or 2.1. If you have to support ancient browsers, use 1.11. Otherwise use 2.1. 2.1 does not support IE. Otherwise, they are basically the same. Both are OBSOLETE.

jQuery Mobile was NOT meant to work with jQuery UI. Their CSS conflicts. There are ways to make them work together, but probably not worth the trouble. Search the forum. You may find some solutions from several years ago.

jQuery Mobile is essentially a DEAD PROJECT. It is unlikely it will ever be updated, and will probably never work with jQuery 3. Even 1.4.5 is several years old now. It was released in 2014.

I do not recommend using it on new projects. I wish jQuery Foundation would shoot the horse and put it out of it's misery! ;) (That is - announce - officially - that it is a discontinued/unsupported product.)

If the only thing you need from jQuery UI is the date picker widget, including all of jQuery UI is the wrong way.

While jQuery UI and jQuery Mobile cannot be easily used together (because the CSS conflicts, among other issues), you can use individual jQuery UI WIDGETS in a jQuery Mobile project.

Both JQM and JQUI widgets make use of the jQuery Widget Factory. You should be able to include a jQuery UI widget in a jQuery Mobile project by including the widget JS and CSS individually. (NOT all of jQuery UI!)

Search the forum and elsewhere for examples where people have done this successfully.

I can't offer much help myself, as I stopped using jQuery Mobile years ago.

The individual widget sources are available within the jQuery UI source code.

Somebody extracted it and made a github project. But it hasn't been updated in 4 years:

I would urge you to plan to move on from jQuery Mobile. Nothing going on here, it will just slowly become obsolete.

But for now, do some search, you should be able to plug in the datepicker without trying to include all of jQuery UI.

There is actually some information on a third-party plugin to use the JQUI datepicker widget included in the jQuery Mobile documentation, as well:

This one also has not been updated in 5 years. But JQM hasn't been updated in almost that long as well. So, will probably work together, on the browsers where JQM still works... :(

Thank for your reply. I am staring a project (bad). But jow long does jquery will be alaive?

What replace it? Biitstrap? I like the way how the page move.

I think that is inadvisable.

I wouldn't consider it to be "alive" today.

The last meaningful updates were three years ago - to the 1.5 alpha code. Nothing has been done since.

It is DEAD.

The code as it is is available for you to use. Grab a copy for yourself, and it will be "alive' forever. But will probably stop working with newer browsers.

What replace it? Biitstrap? I like the way how the page move.

IMO, there really is nothing that "replaces" it. Search the forum to see what others have used.

I use Bootstrap 4 in a current project. As you say, it doesn't have the nice page transitions.

I am moving toward using Web Components, and Jake who contributes here frequently is further along on that path.

I have skipped the whole complicated mess of the React/Angular Facebook/Google war. Thank goodness!

I like Smart HTML Elements. It is not strictly free, though. The core is. I will probably be using this in a project.
