How to avoid the scroll lock?

Hello everyone . I'm trying to create an analogue of this or this plugin. Here is my code :

$(window).scroll(function() {
if($(this).scrollTop() >= $("#Page_1").offset().top/2){
var scroll_page_2 = $('#Page_2').offset().top;
$(document).scrollTop(scroll_page_2);
}
if($(this).scrollTop() <= $("#Page_1").offset().top/2){
var scroll_page_1 = $('#Page_1').offset().top;
$(document).scrollTop(scroll_page_1);
}
});

I have blocked scrolling . An example is here .

Well with my code so everything is clear . I get that if scrolling is below 1 page , scrolling should fall . But when I'm on a 2 page and anything up , I'm still here 1 page and my script me down down . This error . Question - how to ? Enter the variable to determine which page ? And then put a bunch of conditions ?

What exactly are you trying to do ? the two plugins you have attached basically i see remove the browser scroll and add a arrow(up ,down ,left ,right) keydown event listener , to make the page scroll horizontally or vertically , are you trying to do something similar to that ?

Up ! I already ask this question at the second Forum . The task is simple . Well, I think so. I just don't know Javascript. No one really knows the answer ?

You are missing a script from your example page. And the other script does not do what you want.

You need to use the scroll event, but you need to check if the pages has scrolled into a new area, not if it is in an area.

I understand. I don't understand how to implement it . I have two options come to mind :

1 ) Such as I have in the script above. But I don't know how to make it right.

2 ) introduce variable. And thus determine which page the user is located .

I want to learn about the technical implementation . I'm not asking to do everything for me. I ask the least hint how to implement his plan . Or , please help understand the algorithm realization .

You have seen $(window).scrollTop()

Start with just

$(window).scroll(function(){
console.log( $(window).scrollTop() )
})

Then add more code like

console.log( $(window).scrollTop() , $("#Page_1").offset().top , $("#Page_1").height() )

You need to test if scrollTop has changed from one range to another.

Or, you could just use one of the plugins you found. Or, you could read how they do it.

I'm afraid it's too complicated , because plugins are the most customizable. This additional code . And as a result all over the plugin it is very much. Can for example take the source code of any plugin. There's just a shit load of code . To be able to analyze the code should be very familiar with Javascript.

With a good plugin, you should't have to analyze the code or even look at it. You just load the file and follow the instructions in the documentation. It should just work as described. The documentation will tell you what options the plugin has that you can set, and will give complete examples with any needed HTML.

If you need something more customized which can't be done with the provided options, of course you may need a great deal of expertise if you want to re-write the plugin. And, so, unless you have that expertise, I wouldn't advise modifying a plugin. Just find one that works for you the way it comes.

Let's back-up. You said:

Why? What's wrong with them as they come? Do they not do something you want them to do?

If you just want to create an analogue of them to learn, you have to realize that sometimes learning can take some considerable effort.

What is your purpose in creating an analogue?

The second of those plugins promises:

All you need is an HTML markup, call the script and BAM!

Did you find that not to be the case?

I want to change the slide animation on fade in/out animation.

Simply put I want to make this effect, but with the division into categories ( as in the above-mentioned plugins). Change animation is possible only in the script plugin.To change the animation you need to analyze the entire source code, learn what is responsible for what, and only after that you can edit the animation. If there are easier ways to implement her plans I'm open to suggestions. :)

multipage is a demo I did some time ago, it does right/left scrolling. When a "page" comes into view a class is added to that page, and CSS3 animations happen. I never got it to a stage that I liked, so I never used it. It performs in Chrome and Safari.

Sorry for the criticism , but it's just a parallax using CSS3 animations with anchor links. Is it not? But anyway , thanks .

It is not only that. When you scroll, I check the scroll location and add classes.

You need to check location and do things.

If you don’t see the similarity, you should just use the plugins you found.
