How to get the value of a selected text with .select()

Hi, does any one know how can i get the text selected when i use the .select() method??

The documentation for .select mentions that it doesn’t work in Safari & Chrome. It also needs code for the different browsers.

No matter what you code, you can’t get it to work in IOS.
