How to hide keyboard when click on other control in cordova/phonegap app on android phone 5.0+ ?

I am working on cordova/phonegap hybrid android app.

We are using to cordova-3.0.0, jqm-1.3, and android-4.2.0.

My problem is that, when the user shift focus after typing in the text box, the keyboard does not gets hide.

This problem is getting raised in android Phone 5.0.0 +, but not below 5.0.0.

Could anyone please help?

Not without seeing an example of what you did!

Can you share a small example using jsFiddle or Plunkr?

What do you mean by "shift focus"? If they focus another text box, of course the keyboard is still shown. If the text box is blurred, they keyboard should hide.

Does Cordova actually support Android 5.x? Did you check Cordova Issues list for bugs with Android 5.x?

JQM 1.3 certainly can't be expected to support it, though. It is too old, and the authors didn't have super-powers to see the future! ;)

Hi,

The problem we are facing is in mobile application not in desktop browsers.

The problem is that if the focus moves to another control from the textbox, the soft keyboard is still there.

Also tried with blur event of the textbox, but it didn't worked out.

Also, Cordova does support Android 5.x. And there are no issues related to soft keyboard in Cordova.

And JQM 1.3 does support it.

And JQM 1.3 does support it.

It does not. It only supports to Android 4.2! If you found that it "seems to work" that is not the same as "support". Android 5.x did not yet exist when JQM 1.3 was written, and the authors are not clairvoyant.

JQM 1.4.5 does. (But make sure you use the latest.)

What do you mean by "another control"? What kind of control, specifically?
