How to set combobox selected index from client side?

Hi there all,

Can you please tell me how to set combobox selected index value from client side??

I have tried above but non of them worked... :(

Query(
"#IadeTip".val(stripHTML1(urunler[24]));

$("#IadeTip").next().val($("#IadeTip :selected").val() = stripHTML1(urunler[24])).toString();

How are you creating the combo box? For a regular select element or a text element you simply set the value of the element:

$("#elementID").val("new value");

Show us the markup for the combo box and we can give you a hand.
