how to set focus of comobox autocomplete

in Getting Started • 11 years ago

Hi, as tabindex is not working on autocomplete combobox (that is not moving between form elements as I have requested)- I am hoping to force focus when leaving one area if possible. In doing this I think i need to know the name of the text box that is created on top of the standard select/combobox. How do I find a name or ID for the combobox so I can set focus.

Assuming your combobox has id= combobox, the input generated is put in a span following the combobox. This should do the job:

$('#combobox').next().find('input').focus()
