Hi All, I'm new to coding with jQuery. Despite carefully reading all the documentation here and on other sites/forums regarding Resolving jQuery library conflicts, I'm finding resolving conflicts really heavy going.
I'm wondering if it would be possible for the jQuery Group to develop a Conflict Resolution Wizard? Perhaps it might work as follows:
- The Wizard prompts the user to highlight each "code piece" of the "conflict puzzle", e.g. prompted to highlight the 1st library; then prompted to highlight the 2nd library, etc. until all "pieces" are correctly labelled and "known" by the Wizard. Next the Wizard uses it's internal algorithms to analyze, detect, and repair the conflict...outputting the correct, modified, resolved code.
If the Wizard's solution does not successfully resolve a given conflict code set, the user should be prompted to send an "error report" containing the unresolved code pieces to the jQuery Conflict Wizard developer team for analysis and to make version 2.0 of the Wizard smarter.
A smart Conflict Resolution Wizard would be an awesome game changer for me, and perhaps many others?
Perhaps impossible, but just a thought,
Thanks,
Jason.
