$(input).zIndex is not a function

in Using jQuery UI • 13 years ago

Hi I seem to have this error when using the datepicker.

I am using a custom build from the UI website which does have the zIndex() function included in it and i just cant work out what is going wrong... Can someone please help !!

It's not a function but can be set like this (of several ways):

$(input).css("zIndex", 100);

It is a function in jQuery UI 1.8. See http://jqueryui.com/docs/Changelog/1.8#zIndex_-_New.21

You might check that no later version of jQuery/jQuery UI is included after the jQuery 1.4 and jQuery UI 1.8. That's one way you could be including the function and then it not existing later.
