I stumbled onto this little gem a few days ago, and so far I am entirely impressed.

Basically, the author, Tony, has given us much of the same functionality as the wonderful ext.js grids, but using jquery which, for me, makes it much much better! He has also added a huge number of options and open-circuits for almost any type of configuration.
In my case, I am using CF to create XML output from a query - the grid js reads the XML and passes queries back to the page for sorting / paging ... my first round-trip ajax table - made easy!
If anybody here has used jqGrid, or is about to, I'd love to discuss it. And if not... check it out! Easily gets my vote for 'best jquery enhancement'.
