JQM , PHP and Phonegap
in jQuery Mobile

Hello,
I have a functional JQM application whose scripts/pages are created by a php program . The application works fine via a bookmark on a mobile browser.
I am planning to now use Phonegap (just about reached the stage where I got the demo to run) to create a downloadable Android appl and wanted to ask around if anyone has done this before.
My queries specifically would be:-
1. Phonegap needs a local HTML file ...would I be able to substitute this with a link to a php file residing on a server .
2. Any other pointers on how to create an Phonegap appl will be most helpful.
