jQuery and calculating in forms

I've completed jQuery tutorials in codecademy but I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction so I can start to develop and understand forms like this where calculations are used.

Incidentally if you start to add a few products then decimals are added to the subtotal. Does anyone know how to avoid this?

You can solve the decimal problem using toFixed() to specify the number of places after the decimal to display. I don't know of any tutorials or help pages specifically for forms with calculations but a Google search should get you some results. There is also the learning center here on the jQuery site as well - it has a lot of good info that, while not directly what you might be looking for, certainly can't hurt.

Sorry, I can't get my head round where to put .toFixed(2)

Any clues?

Here you go
$subTotal.text(subtotal.toFixed(2));

It's fixed the decimals in the subtotal but the products still get multiple decimals

Oh, I hadn't even noticed it there. You can apply the same fix to the place where you change the products total ... it's in your updateCost function ...

Think I've figured it with:

$cost.text(parseFloat(($price.val()) * quantity).toFixed(2));

updateSubtotal();
