Sure, the default behavior is to cycle continuously. For
pause-on-hover, just use the 'pause' option:
$('#slideshow').cycle({
pause: true
});

Sorry, I meant would it be possible to let it cycle with no
'timeout' (so it will always scroll), something like a news ticker.

Not what I mean! ;)
There should be no timeout, so the message never stand still (only
with mouse over). I looked in your code, but you set a minimum timeout
(line 114-122) if I read it correctly.
So when the effect finished, it should go on right on like a ticker
tape.

Sorry, my last message was meant for someone else. The continuous
effect is not currently supported but I'll take a look at adding it
in.
