Hallo, I tried the following scenario: A button should have the value "Not Clicked". When i click on it, it should show "Clicked". Now my problem: everything works fine when i quote jquery mobile out. When i turn jquery mobile on, the button value doesn't change.
The "problem" is that buttons in jQuery Mobile are enhanced into jQuery Mobile button widgets. There is more to it than just a simple input element. There is an API for working with each type of widget. You need to read the documentation for each type of widget.
You need to refresh the button widget after updating it.
As well, although you *can* use basic built-in DOM manipulation like getElementByID() and .value(), I don't recommend it. You have the power of jQuery, so use it. jQuery DOM manipulation features are easier to write, and in many cases normalize differences between browsers.
