i have a similar trouble,

testing my app in android emulator it works very slow... but in palm-emulator it works normal...

The Android emulator is known to be very slow.  It operates for me at ~4fps.  I had run into this with native applications as well and after digging into forums specific to Android development found that nothing was wrong with my code or any framework I was using.  The best thing to do is to test your app on a real phone.  I would definitely not take the performance in an emulator as indicative of real performance in any case.  I hope you have a real phone because anything other than debugging with the emulator can drive one crazy.  :)

I've been using Phonegap & JQM on a real device and it is also very slow (HTC Hero, upgraded to 2.1), but it flies on an ipod touch 4th gen. I guess the HTC is just getting old but I'd like to try it on a more modern device.

Hi, I have also tested my apps on real Androind (Samsung & HTC) but the slowiness remaining (a litte bit fast on HTC).

I will try with defaultTransition=none, but will be intersting if there's a way to profiling JS on Android, so to understand what is consuming cpu :)

@shirtlesskirk: all tests on Android 2.2 Froyo. Tests on ZTE Blade with A2SD on a EXT filesystem on a class 6 SD card. So there should be no need for a lagfix.
