I have the whole thing in HTML using iframes but when it's used on the iPad as an app, the links move to open in a new frame instead of staying within the frame. When browsed normally (not by using home screen method) it works fine, it's the home screen method for apps that isn't working. 

I thought jquery mobile would be the next thing as it sort of stays static and loads content on the fly. 

I'll be honest, I don't know much about Ajax but I'm good at programming and can pick things up very quickly :)

Everything is all about AJAXing in content these days. Iframes are the last millennium’s solution.

With good CSS and AJAX, you’ll be able to make a site that runs like a champ on all platforms (not just mobile).

You may get different opinions if you post to the jQuery Mobile area of the forum.

Google is your friend here, Just make sure you add jQuery to all your searches.
