Jquery mouse enter event is repeating for FF and IE but not in Chrome

I am having this weird problem in FF (version: 32.0.3) and IE(version 8). Mouseenter event is repeating (circle animation is being triggered again and again on mouse hover) in FF and IE while chrome and opera circle animation only happens once on mouse hover.

Following is the JS fiddle:

Can someone please advise why it is happening and how can I fix this problem?

Areas don’t get mouseenter events in all browsers. Many people resort to using a plugin such as jQuery maphilight documentation .

http://jsfiddle.net/jakecigar/mejLb6jj/1/ adds console.log calls, yet nothing at all happens in Safari.

Hi Jakecigar,
Thanks for your response. I want to create an animation effect like the fiddle shared above. Will the map highlight plugin work for that sort of thing?

You need to read the docs, look at the very cool demos, and decide for yourself if you can add the circle code.

Or you need to mimic what they did to get to the areas, There are other plugins out there. Hit the search engines!
