jQuery SVG - How to save complete SVG as show in browser to a PNG file?

In the project that I am implementing I have a need to save SVG to an image file preferred format is PNG and PDF.

How can we export contents of SVG to PNG and/or PDF?

You would need some server-side code to do that. Upload the SVG text, convert it on the server, and download the completed image.

We can use canvg but I am not able to get it working with linked images in SVG.

Is there a way by which we can force jQuery SVG to embed images instead of linking them?

jQuery SVG just provides access to the abilities of SVG itself. If you can embed images in straight SVG you can do it with jQuery SVG.

What SVG construct would you use for this?

I say it is possible as I have seen such a behavior in SVG-Edit.

I an trying to figure out as to how to do this.
