jQuery Forum

I tried to create an web application using jquery ui (draggable & droppable) where I had the following problem:
I have something like this:

1. function Item(){
2.       this.prop1 = "foo";
3.       this.element = $('#testElement');
4.       this.element.draggable();
   
5. }
6. Item.prototype.myFunct = function(){
7. }

and also:

1. function Box(){
2.       this.element = $('#testBox');
3.       this.element.droppable = {
4.             drop: function(e,ui){
5.                   // access Item.myFunct() or Item.prop1 here
   
6.             }
   
7.       }
   
8. }

So assume (reffering to my code) that an item is dragged and dropped into a Box.

Inside the Box I already know how to get the dropped element (its like "ui.draggable").

But I want to access not only the DOM element but my own created Object of type "Item" and its methods and attributes.

Can this somehow be done?
