jTemplate and jQueryUI CSS problem

Hi,
Everything works as expected but I cannot properly style the newly created table using the jQueryUI CSS selectors.
I have tried with the template code directly in the document and by calling it from a separate file but the result is the same either way.

The template code is in the attached file.
The line that does not appear to work is
<tr class="{#cycle values=['ui-widget-default','ui-widget-content']}">
The strange thing is that the header row
<tr class="ui-widget-header">
works perfectly and styles as expected
.
I also have other items on the page that style correctly using the jqueryui css selectors so I don't think referencing the css file is the issue unless it has to be referenced in a different way with the jtemplate widget.
Is there a problem that I'm not aware of with jTemplate and jQueryUI working together?
I'm fairly new to jQuery so any pointers will be much appreciated!
