Don't take this the wrong way but, I don't understand what you're trying to imply. Comments/Documentation are great...

@Rick, thanks for the comment. I think this (the YIU comment to which
link is leading) is very good eye opener. For each and everyone of us
(web app developers and supporters). It shows (in a very naked, raw
way) the current state of affairs with browsers we "love" and promote
and use. Something that directly affects all of us. And it is not a
very nice picture, I think.
But it is true.
PS: There are some people (including Mr T.B.Lee) who are very worried
with the current state of affairs among key browsers. This has created
an HTML5 among other things. But, will it suceed, in *really*
standardising web app clients ? As fas as I can see, we are not going
in that direction ...

Thanks for clarifying... and yes - so very true. while the comments and docs are great, the simple NEED to have all that just shows what a mess everything is.
