I concur with buglen, this is a matter of consistency in visual and most of the time being neglected. If I were a web designer, this will be a big issue then. IE is really hard to tame at most of the time. Sometimes can't believe that those CSS won't work in IE though other browsers can do (as Microsoft saying they are trying to be compliant now). A bad idea of saying that it only works well in a specific browser and the rest won't. How about if majority of your user or viewer using the browser that distorts your works. Poor isn't it.
I have also the same case with buglen, the rendering of "shadow" in IE gone after an animation. I just sacrificed the animation for the sake of achieving consistency in design. Well, maybe, those animation are nice to have but heavy-hearted,I just let those "effects" gone because of "bad" rendition of shadow in damn IE.
