Just wondering, how long does it generally take for a new users question to get moderated and posted?  I'm just wondering if if takes hours or is it more like days.  Thanks for you help.  I just posted my first question.

It can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few days, depending on the time and day. For example, there may be less people moderating the forums during easter weekend.

Is this related to the yellow "Reported Spam!" label I get when I reply? It's really wierd and I've posted to new posts (about the same thing since I didn't think the first one failed) without them showing up... See the attached image.

That is something other than initial moderation.

What is it then? I've not spammed, I've hardly written any replies in the months I've been a member... :S

It would appear that your IP address is blacklisted somewhere and that is what identifying you as potential spam.

Blacklisted "somewhere"!? That's a bit vague. How can I resolve this issue?

The message is this - User IP 194.71.15.242found in blacklist. I am not an expert on blacklist removal but there are a lot of resources on the web. Blacklisting is not particular to the forums but the forum uses methods to read from popular blacklists.

It depends on the availability of moderators.

It depends on how the user is answering whether it is relevant to the topic or not

I can't even find where I would post a question - the most I see is comment on previous posts.  I don't see a topic specifically on the subject I'd like to ask.

The "New Post" button is somewhat hidden in the top menu.

While I have no problems with the moderation of new users, it might be nice if the interface would display all my messages that are in 'Awaiting Moderation" status while the message is waiting. This would not be a display for everyone but just one that shows ME my message along with some indication/flag that the message is awaiting moderation and thus not yet on public display. At the current time, the message drops into a black hole until a moderator gets around to approving/rejecting it. Many other systems that I have used work this way so the user knows that their message is there and awaiting moderation.
