I have only used Overthrow (and Scrollview, it's "predecessor"). While it seems to work ok, sometimes scrolling back up on my iOS 3.2 requires 5 fingers and a lot of pull... can be due to my faulty setup though.

I like Overthrow because it's small in file size and super simple to setup. Plus it seems to play along with JQM quite ok. I used iScroll (non-JQM) a couple of times and found it hard to get to work alongside JQM.

I've updated jquery.mobile.iscrollview (1.2pre1) and it's a very significant performance update. So, you might want to give it another whirl.

This gives you native-like scrollbars (disappearing on iOS, non-disappearing otherwise), as well as pull-to-refresh (new).

Overthrow gives you scrollbars if the native support supplies them (iOS 5). On iOS 4, you get polyfill scroll, but no scrollbar.

Is there a possibility for static scrollbars on iOS? The original iScroll supported them.

Yes, you can use any of the iScroll4 options in jquery.mobile.iscrollview: fixedScrollbar, hideScrollbar, fadeScrollbar.

By default, iScroll4 matches native behavior: fading scrollbars for iOS, but you can override with the options.
