Pulsating button

Hi,

I'm trying to avoid using Flash by finding a way to make a big pulsating button for a website I'm working on. I can do the the graphic side of things but I'm having problems finding a plugin or a peace of code that can bring the graphics to life. I know it's doable in css http://bit.ly/4HMa89 but it doesn't work across all browsers.

The previous link (in Safari) shows what effect I'm after and any links to tutorials or advice on how to achieve this would be greatly appreciated.
