See the problem I have is that I cannot edit the html as it's produced on the server side and I don't have access to that but I can put in javascript to make visual changes.

Or is it making it :

ideally I want it to make it just the html in red.

Ah cool - so that will just remove all the html added for the table and replaces it with the html I've written for the link?
