Hi Jake,
thanks for your interest!
In fact it isn’t so complicated, but…
The idea is that some animations that run on mouse events maybe overseen by a user so that I liked the idea to do some sort of „trailer“ to show some things at the beginning in order to give an idea what is hidden at the beginning.
Although I feel not very comfortable about it because it becomes kind of „frightening“ when suddenly some events are fired like from a ghost hand. (moreover the „ease“ effects feel very different and abrupt if fired automatically instead of intentionally)
And moreover I recognized that it seems not be possible to stop a once started JS function with excessive setTimeouts. They run on in the background and tend to collide with the natural events on click etc.
So it would be necessary to make the function in steps where „if else“ statements would have to be continuously tested in order abolish the automatic pilot when the user interferes (excuse my bad English

) Seems not be such a good idea at the end. I am still thinking about that.
I hope I explained myself
and I am interested in your opinion
salutes
