Slider Function malfunction

I'm currently working on this on JS Fiddle and something seem to be wrong with an every time you run it, you must click on the middle links before it starts to work or before the third link works. You must also click on the third one before the first one works

A simple rearrangement of the clicks does the job.

$(document).ready(function() {
$("div :first").addClass("active");
$("div :not(:first)").hide();
$("li:nth-of-type(2)").click(function() {
$("div:nth-of-type(2)").slideDown("slow").siblings("div:visible").slideUp("slow");
});
$("li:nth-of-type(3)").click(function() {
$("div:nth-of-type(3)").slideDown("slow").siblings("div:visible").slideUp("slow");
});
$("li:nth-of-type(1)").click(function() {
$("div:nth-of-type(1)").slideDown("slow").siblings("div:visible").slideUp("slow");
});
});

Rewriting it does it better.

$(document).ready(function() {
$("div:first").addClass("active");
$("div:not(:first)").hide();
$("li").click(function() {
$("div").eq($(this).index()).slideDown("slow").siblings("div:visible").slideUp("slow");
});
});
