slideUp doesn't work fluently for the first time, for the second time works

Hi guy,

I found a bit strange behaviour of my jquery code. What i am trying to do is to make a simple accordion menu.

The first category is open, it means it shows submenu. When I click on it should slideUp fluently but it just jumps. And I have really no idea why, could anyone help me please?

jQuery starts the slideUp() and then proceeds to your next instruction which removes the "active" class. The CSS kicks in immediately, hiding the element before the animation finishes. The fix is to put the instruction to remove the "active" class inside the slideUp callback.
