1. Is there any sort of "getting started" tutorial for the Split View plugin? I've downloaded it, but it isn't intuitive to me how I start going about implementing it.

AND/OR: 

2. Do I need split view anyway? What I really want to do is emulate the way the documentation on jquerymobile.com works, where if I've got a big screen I see a menu down the left and content on the right, and on a small screen I just get one of those views at a time. I was hoping that was a built-in kind of functionality for JQM, but after searching for it for a while I'm not so sure.

Can anyone get me started in the right direction?
