tablesorter and SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS

The IT department I just started with is developing with NginX,
Dreamweaver, PHP, MySQL etc. and the Tablesorter plugin.
I have attempted using SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS in a query so I can
get the full count for use with tablesorter. However, SELECT
FOUND_ROWS() does not return the full count. Has anyone on this
forum experienced this? If so, is there a way to use
SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS with this set-up?
I will also look for a Deamweaver forum and ask there, but was
hopeful a Tablesorter user might have an answer.
