I am new to this wonderful community! I really think that much more widgets should be added to JQuery-UI. I started make some of my own for my own project, but then I think I should share my ideas. They are on my Github page at https://github.com/devnetf/JQuery-ui-custom-widgets/ . The two that I am working on are Horizontal Menu and Spoiler. I find the existing menu widget is not enough. It is hard to make it a horizontal menu. In addition, the hmenu widget I made can be generate with a JSON with nearly no HTML. The code is not perfect because I just started them. I would be glad if I can receive some advices from the community!

I believe what you want for your horizontal menu is probably a menubar, which we had started working on, but decided to put on hold. See the planning page and the menubar branch for more details.

I have no idea what a spoiler widget is.

It sounds like you're probably not adhering to any of the jQuery UI standards, and we don't allow external plugins to become part of jQuery UI anymore. All plugins must start new, following our standards very closely, and only after an initial design phase.

Thanks for your advices! A spoiler is something like this http://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-spoiler/screenshots/ . Note that it is not the same as accordion both in the look and usage even though they are similar. Spoiler are usually simple and elegant panels. For the jQuery UI menu and menubar, I don't see a way to populate the widget with a JSON. I think this would a great idea because it offers the option to visualize and abstract all the code in JS instead of worrying about the HTML structure. Where would I get the information about the coding standard and how to contribute? I would also set up a JSFIDDLE to show my ideas soon.
