I am doing some development on a site that is using "jQuery 1.2.6 - New Wave Javascript"

The question is - will just swapping out to 1.5.1 (and 1.8.11) be likely to break anything..?  pleesayno.

there are all kinds of bits of libraries referenced all over, so I accept that something may break, but I don't know if anything drastic in the way documentbyid or anything was handled (I recall doing it differently back then, but it may all be in my mind..).
