Weird characters showing up in Datepicker

So I'm using a custom development package with the Smoothness theme that I downloaded from jqueryui.com. Everything's working fine, but I'm getting these weird characters showing up on the Datepicker widget. Here's a screenshot:



See the little question-mark characters? Yeah. Not sure what's going on here. Can't seem to find any unrecognized characters in either the Smoothness stylesheet or in any of the code. Any suggestions here? Has anyone run into this problem before?
